Online Piano Learning, Made Easy.
10+ years of teaching musical creativity
Let’s unlock your musical side.
I’ve been playing piano since age 6, and have been blessed with a musical upbringing. I am also an aspiring music producer and mixing engineer. I can guarantee that you won’t find a more diverse and engaging teacher than me!
In my past experience, I have found that music skills have helped me mentally, emotionally, and have taught me to think more flexibly than others. Piano can be integral as a first instrument, since it builds a powerful and solid foundation for those that want to learn multiple instruments in the future like myself. Nothing beats a good mindset, especially when it’s applied to drive, passion, and motivational thinking.
My top priority is providing my students with a personalized learning experience. I believe that in order to truly thrive, each student needs to receive individualized attention and support. That’s why I only teach private, 1-on-1 sessions. This way, I can match my student’s pace and further understand their strengths, weaknesses, and passions.
Discovering what motivates and interests my students lets me develop a customized lesson plan that matches your unique learning style and pace. Whether you’re a total beginner or have some experience, I’ll help you achieve your goals and reach your full potential as a pianist. If you’re ready to embark on a fun and rewarding musical journey together, let’s get started!
I primarily teach through Alfreds Lesson and Recital series, but I also create custom covers for students tailored to their skill level. Teaching improvisation (playing from the imagination) is a great way to engage aspiring musicians as well!
With my degree in Computer Science and Music, I take advantage of technology to create fun ways when we tackle difficult concepts, and always do my best to focus on the long-term goals as your teacher.
Tired of spending hours a day just getting your kids to their daily events? If you’re worried about missing out on music lessons, don’t be! Online lessons are the way to go. No need to run around dropping off your kids anymore – just grab your device, hop on that reliable internet connection, and let’s get started on some musical magic.
In fact, I’ve had so much fun teaching my students remotely, and my families tell me that they love the change from traditional, in-person lessons. I’m incredibly grateful for the trust families have put in me to provide quality instruction. So for all you hesitant folks out there, let’s chat and clear up any doubts lingering in your mind. Trust me, learning piano online is a breeze!
The kids absolutely love you… and so do we! You have a way of balancing positive reinforcement with constructive criticism and motivation. You genuinely care about your students and we love that you make an effort to talk honestly with the parents about progress. They admire and respect you and that in it of itself, is worth its weight in gold when it comes to piano teachers. You are not just their piano teacher, but a mentor, friend and someone they admire tremendously!
I like that you make piano lessons enjoyable for kids. She learned how to read music in such a short period of time and play pretty well. For the past 3 years, she has progressed a lot and it’s very impressive. I know as a parent, it’s also my job to make sure she’s practicing daily. The only thing I would say is that you can be a little more tough on her, maybe hold her more accountable for not practicing as much as she should. Other than that, I think you’re a great teacher with lots of patience.
Kyle is great with our daughter. Not only is she learning the piano, but with Kyle’s guidance, she’s learning how to take initiative and ownership of her own progress. Kyle is very patient and my daughter always enjoys his sense of humor and gentle adjusting. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to learn from a talented artist in a very welcoming learning environment.
All the improvisation exercise are awesome I have a really tough time coming up with these myself. The rhythm exercises during lessons are great too. The song suggestions are always fun, challenging, and sound great to play. Fabulous work Kyle!
Kyle has been teaching my 12 year old son for about 4 years now. I’ve seen my son making so much progress under his guidance even through quarantine (zoom calls). His teaching approach isn’t striving for perfection but aims to get my son to improve. Kyle teaches him improvisation which makes his experience fun so he is not just bound to the right notes/keys. I highly recommend giving Kyle a try.
I thoroughly enjoy my lessons with Kyle. He is patient, kind, encouraging/ supportive, and of course a great teacher. He is creative, talented and truly passionate about piano, teaching and making music. Kyle has done an excellent job navigating the pandemic and was up and running from home in no time, keeping me up on my lessons and making progress – which is the goal!
Due to time and travel constraints, I am unable to offer in-person lessons at the time.
The goal of online Zoom lessons is a convenient, fun, and comfortable learning experience for you. With online lessons, you just sit down at your piano and hit join on your device. Say goodbye to those hours you spend every day just getting your kids to their extracurriculars.
I’m quite flexible with scheduling, especially if you’re looking for lessons outside of the typical 3-6pm weekday rush. If you’re worried about finding a time slot that works, just contact me and we’ll work something out!
I also offer lessons specifically catered towards aspiring songwriters and producers. Please let me know if this is something you’re interested in your contact form and I’ll give you more specific details.
I have a very capable PC, two pianos, studio-grade microphone, 2 x HD Webcams (two angles), PDF screensharing, drawing on the screen/whiteboard, and a great internet connection.
If your child is between the ages of 3-7, we will discuss and see how present you will need to be. This is heavily dependent on your child’s independence and ability to problem-solve on their own, but I have taught students as young as 6 on their own through zoom (young kids are often incredibly adaptable…)
I charge a flat rate of $50/hr, meaning $25/30min, $37.50/45min, etc. If your financial situation is dire, feel free to let me know and I will try to accommodate if there is good cause. I teach because I love it, but I also need to ensure that I can remain sustainable as a business so I can continue to inspire and nurture people as they discover their love for music.
Payments are flexible. If you just want to try out the lessons, weekly is totally fine. If you prefer paying for a set of lessons at once, that works too. If you want to pay for a whole year, I won’t stop you (I admire the commitment if you do). Venmo or Zelle preferred for payments!
As long as you let me know 24 hours before your lesson time, I’ll do what I can to reschedule the lesson if possible. If it’s an emergency and quite serious, I don’t mind (please, your health comes first).
